Quantel has today confirmed that Tim Claman (pictured) will be joining the company as chief technology officer. Claman has gained experience as a supplier and user of broadcast and post production technology and has worked most recently as CTO of Avid.
Prior to this he worked with a number of US post production facilities, on both film and TV productions. Before his move to the film and television industry, he was a professional recording engineer and musician in Los Angeles.
“I’m delighted to be joining Quantel at a very exciting time in its development,” said Claman. “Quantel’s ideas and innovations can truly transform our industry and I’m really looking forward to playing a part in making that happen; it’s a natural fit for me!”
Quantel’s R&D director, Simon Rogers, added: “Tim’s skills and experience will be a great asset to Quantel as we bring our exciting revolutionQ software services to market. The US has always been a very important market for Quantel and having a CTO of Tim’s capabilities based there will ensure that we stay as close to our customers’ needs and aspirations as possible.”
