Object Matrix acquired by US firm DataCore

The acquisition will allow Object Matrix to extend its reach and product ambitions, while continuing to develop on prem, cloud, and hybrid media storage solutions, said CEO Jonathan Morgan

Media archive specialist Object Matrix has been bought out by software company DataCore.

Financial details of the acquisition have not been revealed.

Object Matrix’s appliances and cloud offerings will become part of the DataCore Perifery portfolio that specialises in delivering end-to-end, application-centric solutions for edge and high-growth markets, including media and entertainment.

Object Matrix’s customers include the BBC, NBC Universal, Warner Bros. Discovery, ATP Media, and BT.
