Firefighters were notified at 10:30pm by a train driver who saw some coming from the building. Firefighters fought the fire for 13 hours with ten crews comprising over 50 personnel and explosions were heard by local residents. The building was described by Royal Berkshire Fire Authority Chairman Councillor Colin Dudley as a “total loss”. The cause of the fire has not been determined.

NEP Visions announced that it has been in close communication with its clients to ensure forthcoming shows and events continue without disruption and that it will be working with other divisions of the NEP Group to draw on additional resources.
