Media companies including RTL Netherlands, NEP, ITV Studios and EndemolShine have received support from the Dutch government to help them deal with the impact of coronavirus.
The temporary Emergency Measure Bridging Employment (NOW) was aimed at supporting the Dutch TV industry following the collapse of the advertising market and shut down of production.
A number of companies received money from the scheme, according to mediacourant.NL.
RTL Nederland received the largest payout from the scheme with €3.5 million, while Talpa did not receive any help, instead opting to restructure the company.
Other companies who received payouts from the scheme include:
- NEP Media: €2.9 million
- United: €2.2 million
- ITV Studios: €2.1 million
- EndemolShine: €1.7 million
- Fremantle: €1.1 million
