David Tippett appointed Sunset+Vine MD

Will continue to lead the team delivering the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games Host Broadcast operation

Sunset+Vine has appointed David Tippett as its new managing director, effective immediately.

Previously head of broadcast, he will oversee the company as well as lead the team delivering the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games Host Broadcast operation.

Tippett started his career with Sky where he oversaw the production of four Ryder Cups. At Sunset+Vine he has taken on leading roles in the Grand National and Derby coverage for the BBC, ICC cricket in Bangladesh and India and led successful bids for the World Equestrian Games, World Rugby Sevens Series.

Tippett said, “I’m thrilled to be taking on this exciting new role. We’ve had to withstand an incredibly challenging period at S+V and the dedication of the staff has been crucial to seeing us through. While the current outlook is still relatively uncertain, we’re in a good position to continue our strong recovery from a difficult 2020 and I’m really looking forward to playing my part in that ongoing process and beyond. We will emerge stronger than before and build on our unrivalled reputation for creativity and innovation to deliver great coverage, shows and content for our clients.”

Tippett takes on the role following the death of John Leach last year.
