Former News UK executive David Rhodes has joined Comcast to lead international business development at Sky.
Rhodes, who is also a former president of CBS News, will be based in London and report to Andrea Zappia, the broadcaster’s EVP and CEO for new markets and businesses, according to Bloomberg.
He joined News UK last year at a time when the company was considering launching a TV news channel.
Earlier this year the company dropped its plans, stating the cost of launching a television news channel meant it did not make business sense to push ahead.
