A 15-second clip of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt fighting, created using the newest AI generator on the block has gone viral.
The clip, posted to X (formerly Twitter) by Irish filmmaker Rauiri Robinson, sees the two Hollywood A-listers fighting against a gloomy backdrop. The post said he created the clip using a 2 line prompt in Seedance 2. The clip has had over one million views so far.

Seedance 2 is an AI video-generating tool from ByteDance, the company behind TikTok. The latest iteration claims to be a “substantial leap in generation quality”.
The clip has already drawn criticism from other creatives. “I hate to say it. It’s likely over for us,” said Rhett Reese, writer of the Deadpool films, in a comment on Robinson’s post. “In next to no time, one person is going to be able to sit at a computer and create a movie indistinguishable from what Hollywood now releases.”
The Motion Picture Association released a statement denouncing Seedance: “In a single day, the Chinese AI service Seedance 2.0 has engaged in unauthorised use of US copyrighted works on a massive scale.
“By launching a service that operates without meaningful safeguards against infringement, ByteDance is disregarding well-established copyright law that protects the rights of creators and underpins millions of American jobs. ByteDance should immediately cease its infringing activity.”
