Amino and MOBITV have announced MOBITV CONNECT, a collaborative end-to-end platform designed to simplify cost and internal support structures for operators.
Amino’s streamlined upcycling process leverages a proven professional services methodology to centrally manage the updating of device software on distributed legacy devices.
AminoOS Engage also provides ongoing device management and enhances customer service and support. AminoOS works with the MobiTV SaaS platform to transform these deployed assets into another part of the multiscreen ecosystem.
Donald McGarva, Amino CEO, said: “We are excited to partner with MOBITV and give our operator customers new options for expanding their video service offerings using existing devices to deliver the enhanced service offerings subscribers expect.
“By enabling operators to offer exciting next-generation services such as MobiTV with a relatively modest additional investment, we’re extending the life of installed devices: a highly significant CAPEX benefit.”
Bill Routt, MOBITV COO and president, added: “We continue to focus on giving operators new options for delivering video services through whichever device they choose.
“Our partnership with Amino expands our approach, recognising that both operators and subscribers need video services that bring the best of both legacy linear and OTT streaming.”
