German sports streamer is reorganising its business into two separate companies, one focusing on its sports streaming service and the other on technology and production.
According to the company, the move will enable it to further grow streaming product Dyn, via the possible acquisition of additional sports rights or the expansion of strategic distribution partnerships for the German market. At the same time, it will support the continued development of the technical platform and its proprietary components, added the company.
Dyn Media said the new structure will provide it with “stronger positioning in the B2B environment” as a provider of technology and content solutions for third parties. “Technology solutions and content production are increasingly evolving into an independent business field—visible both in the growth of the platform and in rising demand from external partners,” added the company.
Speaking about the move, Andreas Heyden, Dyn Media CEO, said: “Our technologies and production standards are now in demand beyond our own platform business. The clear allocation of these areas within Dyn Media GmbH enables us to accelerate innovation, systematically expand partner solutions and manage our growth. Dyn Sport continues to stand for the fan perspective and the daily fan experience, while Dyn Media represents technology and content production.”
The move also sees co-founder Christan Seifert move from the management board to the position of executive chairman.
