IBC announces shift to December

CEO Mike Crimp said the event's organisers feel the "best opportunity" for the show would be the move to the end of the year

This year’s IBC Show has been moved to 3rd-6th of December.

The show’s board took the decision to move the show to the “fall back dates” which were first announced earlier this year.

CEO Mike Crimp said the event’s organisers feel the “best opportunity” for the show would be the move to the end of the year.

He added that the decision to move the date has not been taken lightly. All of the feedback the organisers received from their discussions with stakeholders showed that the sentiment has shifted to a move to December.

“There’s a really strong desire for us to deliver a show in Amsterdam,” added Crimp.

“December offers us the opportunity to implement the best safety protocols. September would have been tight in what we needed to achieve,” he explained. “Having more time to concentrate on the marketplace and what the market wants was more important than being the first major trade show to take place.”
