Harmonic has announced its XOS Advanced Media Processor has been selected by 44P.
The German media production company, 44P (Four For Partners), aims to leverage the XOS processor’s cloud-native software base, playout feature set and next-gen media processing to enable the delivery of UHD broadcasts.
Supporting 44P’s playout, encoding and distribution requirements, Harmonic’s XOS Advanced Media Processor provides delivery via AI-powered video compression and quality optimisation for HD and UHD channels, audio loudness management, simplified cue tone processing and flexible support of IP transport architectures, said the company. Advanced branding is encompasses with HTML-5 graphics and effects. Deployment was facilitated by German broadcast system integrator, netorium.
