Panavision Grip and Remote Systems has opened a larger London facility.
Located at Greenford, the complex is close to Heathrow Airport as well as London region studios and other divisions within the Panavision group.
The new site represents a nearly 10,000 square foot increase, housing the division’s rental inventory of camera cranes, dollies and grip accessories. Situated opposite Panavision London’s camera and optics rental business, the facility provides three loading bays enabling motion picture industry customers to easily collect and return equipment. Additionally, the interior layout streamlines the flow of equipment between the shipping, receiving and service departments while EV charging points are available for customers and employees.
Alan “Wolfie” Smith, Panavision Grip and Remote Systems director, commented, “Our rental inventory is continually expanding with the latest camera supports and grip solutions, and we had outgrown our previous facility as a result. This new, larger location keeps us at the ready to embrace future waves of technology so filmmakers can continue to count on us for all their grip-equipment needs, whatever their projects call for. It was also important to us in the expansion that we remain close to our camera location, and this new site is only a few lengths’ of track away.”
