Vodafone, Unitymedia set for Sky UHD upgrade

Sky UHD has so far been limited to Tele Columbus, Primacom and Deutsche Telekom across Germany

Vodafone and Unitymedia are set to offer Sky content across Germany in UHD.

From 30th January, UHD channels will be made available to Vodafone and Unitymedia customers. They were previously limited to Tele Columbus, Primacom and Deutsche Telekom.

Dr Holger Enßlin, managing director, legal, regulatory and distribution, and managing director Sky Austria, said: “Sky’s partnership with the two largest cable operators, Vodafone and Unitymedia, marks yet another milestone for the distribution of UHD in Germany.
