Two world premieres at Innovation Day

Two world premieres took place at Broadcast Innovation Day in Germany

Two world premieres took place at Broadcast Innovation Day in Germany.

Hosted by Broadcast Solutions at their headquarters in Bingen, the event introduced two new members to the slomo.tv product family – BlackJack 4k and Arrow 4k.

Initially planned for this years’ NAB show, both products were shown for the first time at the Innovation Day.

BlackJack offers the only 3 in 2 OUT 4K 50p server available in a single enclosure. The engine is designed with the capability to transcode all channels live during recording, thus providing all content without delay to the external drives for further processing.

Sixteen channels can be recorded and up to three operators can edit 4 channels with independent crossfade outputs. It can also simply work as a five-channel 4K 50p slow-motion machine. It possesses a 12TB SSD – enough to record 266h HD with 100 Mbit/s. DMR is available on all 12 input channels.

Arrow offers a 2RU server that provides the full range of functions inherent to the Simple R series. Its storage has been replaced by conventional HDDs, whilst a larger housing reduces the construction design efforts. The server can support simultaneous recording of 2 channels 4K 50p/4K 60p, the search on two channels and playback of two channels.
