Spain’s three major broadcasters are set to launch a new joint HbbTV-based television platform dubbed LOVEStv.
RTVE, Atresmedia and Mediaset will start the free service in its test phase on 14th June.
LOVEStv will offer a range of features including catch-up from the past seven days, restart a programme that has already begun and an improved EPG, with more features to be added at a later date.
Viewers will also be able to personalise and recommend content.
The three operators announced the launch of the platform in March, at the time stating its objective was “to improve the diversity, the quality of the offer of open TV and the user’s experience through the services and functionalities offered by the HbbTV technology of television and internet.”
