Sky Store is allowing its customers to buy and keep box sets permanently by delivering a DVD copy of purchased content to the customer.
The new offering, available in the UK and Ireland, sends a digital HD copy straight to the user’s devices, as well as a DVD copy in the post.
The move follows an 86 per cent rise in Buy and Keep transactions year-on-year, with over 3,500 titles now available on the service.
Sky Store director Kathryn Lacey said, “Sky Store Buy and Keep continues to be a huge hit and, as the UK’s regular number one digital retailer for new movie releases, it is a natural next step for us to provide customers with the opportunity to own their favourite box sets. Buy & Keep Box Sets is the first of many exciting initiatives we have planned for Sky Store.”
Brand new shows will be available for purchase on the service a day after the last episode is broadcast on linear TV, making them accessible before the DVD reaches shops.
The service is available through the Sky Store website and app, as well as Now TV, Roku and YouView boxes.
