Sky Go undergoes redesign

Sky has begun rolling out a redesign version of its on-demand service Sky Go

Sky has begun rolling out a redesign version of its on-demand service Sky Go.

Its online browser and Android versions are available immediately, with the iOS version to follow in February.

The redesign features a brand new home page and look, but new features will not be introduced until later in the year.

The new layout and future features are intended to better highlight TV shows, sports and movies, both live and on-demand. Sky Go will later add a Netflix-style ‘watch next episode’ feature to aid binge watching.

The move comes ahead of the launch of Sky’s brand new home entertainment system, Sky Q.

“This is just the start of a really exciting year for Sky Go,” said Michele Swaine, director of product development.

“Both the redesign rolling out today and brilliant new features coming later this year are all part of our commitment to making finding the best TV brilliantly simple.”

Around 70 live channels can be viewed on the Sky Go app, alongside catch-up content.
