French VoD platform Salto, a joint streaming service between France Televisions, M6 and TF1, is due to go live on 3rd June 2020.
The Beta service will be available to all subscribers for €5-10.
Salto will feature 15,000 hours of content (expanded to 20,000 by the end of the year) in the form of series, cinema, documentaries, youth, entertainment and reality TV.
“We aim to take a significant share of the market,” Salto general manager Thomas Follin told Le Figaro. “And it seems to us that there is still a huge place to occupy. The vast majority of French people are not on Netflix… we hope they will come to Salto.”
The service was originally expected to launch in the first quarter of 2020.
