New OTT sports service to launch worldwide

The platform will aggregate live-streaming sports networks and premium entertainment content

Entertainment Studios Inc is to launch a new OTT subscription platform SPORTS.TV worldwide in Q4 of this year.

The company, the owner of seven 24-hour HD cable television networks, claims the service could have 50 million worldwide subscribers in the next five years.

SPORTS.TV plans to aggregate what Entertainment Studios says is “high-profile and independent sports networks” on one platform which will be available on every device worldwide, including smartphones, tablets, smart televisions, gaming consoles, as well as personal computers and laptops.

“The appetite for live sports programming is insatiable, and consumers worldwide are making it very clear they want to access this content on every device, wherever they go,” said Byron Allen, founder, chairman, and CEO of Entertainment Studios.

“SPORTS.TV is an innovative global OTT subscription service that aggregates both live sports networks and premium sports content on one digital platform, giving our subscribers complete access to all of their favourite teams and players on every device worldwide.”
