Netflix has added a “Latest” section to its TV app, featuring listings of new and upcoming releases.
The new menu will feature trailers for films and TV series being released the current and following week.
Users can also request to be reminded when a particular title becomes available.
The section can be accessed from the app’s sidebar and will be updated multiple times a day, personalised for each member.
Following a “successful test” of the feature, Netflix is now trialling a similar section on iOS.
Netflix director of product innovation Cameron Johnson likened the new section to seeing trailers at the cinema, telling Variety: “People love that experience.”
