NAB Show 4K 4Charity Fun Run opens for registration

Proceeds go to non-profits focused on closing the gender gap in the industry

The NAB Show 4K 4Charity Fun Run is open for registration, raising money for the non-profit Girls Who Code.

The official NAB fun run takes place on Tuesday 9th April at 7:30 am in Sunset Park, Las Vegas.

Sponsorship proceeds will benefit Girls Who Code, which works to close the gender gap in the media and entertainment and technology industries.

NAB executive vice president of conventions and business operations Chris Brown said: “The 4K 4Charity Fun Run is a beloved NAB Show tradition and a unique opportunity for industry professionals to come together in support of worthy non-profits and enjoy an energising departure from the exhibit floor.

“We are pleased to support 4K 4Charity and excited to help the media and entertainment industry give back to the important cause of diversity and inclusion.”

The 4K 4Charity Fun Run has raised more than $960,000 for non-profits focused on increasing equity in technology over the past five years, with this year’s event taking the total past the $1 million mark.

4K 4Charity Fun Run co-founder Laura Barber said: “This is an incredible milestone! More importantly, it shows how 4K 4Charity supporters take action to increase opportunities for those who are underrepresented in tech, and invest in the next generation of leaders.

“We are thankful for everyone’s generosity, and for the strong leadership from the NAB Show team. But this is just the first leg of the race! Please join us in making an even bigger impact and registering today.”
