MelodyVR announces first live-streamed event

Due to take place on 19th December

Virtual reality music platform MelodyVR has announced its first live-streamed event, scheduled for 19th December 2018.

The world-first event will feature One Direction’s Liam Payne and be broadcast live in VR from a secret London location, exclusively via the MelodyVR platform.

MelodyVR’s ‘jump spot’ technology will allow fans to control their experience of the live event by choosing their own location in the venue.

The company says the event will leverage its technical expertise in live-streaming, compression, automated-stitching, encoding and distribution.

Anthony Matchett, executive chairman and CEO of EVR, said: “This is a hugely exciting moment for MelodyVR. We truly believe that virtual reality has the power to connect artists with fans like never before.”
