ITV Hub viewing up 82 per cent YoY

Alongside 80 per cent growth for ITV Hub plus

ITV Hub viewing has increased by 82 per cent year on year, according to the broadcaster.

The VoD platform’s performance results for the first three months of 2020 show a 40 per cent rise in monthly reach, alongside 80 per cent growth for the ad-free service ITV Hub plus.

ITV Hub also saw a 49 per cent increase in simulcast viewing over the same period, as well as a 35 per cent increase in viewing across connected TV devices.

Catch-up across the drama genre is up 26 per cent year on year, while simulcast viewing between 6 and 9am has risen by 55 per cent, which ITV said has been driven by Good Morning Britain’s coronavirus coverage.

ITV director of digital products Steve Forde said: “The recent uplift in the first quarter for the ITV Hub and Hub plus in both reach and consumption is hugely encouraging, as we continue to evolve the platforms and look at new ways to enhance our content.”
