ITV Hub reaches 30 million registered users

Beats ITV's previous target for the platform

ITV has announced its on-demand service ITV Hub has now reached an audience of 30 million registered users.

The Hub recorded 26 million users in October 2018 and now exceeds 30 million, well ahead of ITV’s previously announced target of hitting the figure in 2021.

The broadcaster cited Love Island series five as a major factor, attracting an additional 3.2 million users during June 2019.

Live streaming also contributed, with 20 million simulcast requests so far for the Rugby World Cup, the most popular game being the England v Australia match on 19th October receiving 1.5 million requests.

ITV director of digital products Steve Forde said: “The Hub is a key part of our More than TV strategy and it’s a testament to our investment in technology and programming that we’ve hit our target registered users so far in advance.

“The attraction for viewers of being able to watch the most talked about programmes, including Love Island, the Rugby World Cup, dramas such as Deep Water, A Confession and the soaps, whenever, wherever and however they want is clear.”
