Eurosport and Snap announce content partnership

Marks first time Snap has committed to a European, multi-language deal for covering the Olympics

Discovery Communications’ Eurosport and Snap have agreed a content partnership to bring coverage of the Olympic Winter Games to Snapchat as the broadcaster targets younger viewers.

The partnership marks the first time that Snap has committed to a European, multi-language deal for covering the Olympics. Coverage will include behind-the-scenes action from events such as snowboarding, downhill and freestyle skiing and ice hockey – as well as relevant content from the athletes and influencers that fans want to connect with.

The content will be curated through Snapchat’s Discovery platform.

The two companies say the deal is the first of its kind and will make content available through both through Snapchat’s Our Stories – which are curated stories featuring Snaps submitted by Snapchat users, and Publisher Stories – which are magazine-like Stories produced by media publishers, curated by Eurosport.

Our Stories will feature content created by a dedicated team of editors at Snapchat, combined with Eurosport’s premium Olympic Games footage.
