Joyne, which has been active in the Dutch satellite TV market since last year, has announced it is considering launching a new over the top service.
It plans to launch an IPTV platform that would enable viewers to access content via a number of applications including smartphones and tablets. The broadcaster is also thought to be considering launching the service on Android media player.
A spokesperson confirmed the news to Totaaltv, but declined to say when the new service would launch, although it is expected to be sometime this year.
