Discovery CEO David Zaslav has said he expects Apple’s much talked about streaming service to be a huge hit with consumers.
In an interview with CNBC, Zaslav said the video streaming service “could explode” when it launches next year, because Apple already has millions of potential subscribers.
“I think Apple is the company in media that’s going to surprise people the most,” he said. “They’re in business every month with over 600 million people.”
Zaslev said Apple’s loyal customers give it an advantage over competitors such as Netflix and Amazon Prime.
‘[Apple is] already in business with loads of people that love them and love their brand. That’s like a superhighway,” he said.
