Deutsche Telekom in talks to carry Disney Plus

Company board member confirms talks

German telco Deutsche Telekom is reportedly in talks to carry Disney Plus on its MagentaTV platform.

According to Bloomberg, Deutsche Telekom board member Michael Hagspihl has confirmed the two companies are in talks over a deal.

“I’m sure we’ll reach a reasonable outcome” said Hagspihl. “Our goal is to be the platform that aggregates the most partners.”

MagentaTV already offers subscribers both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Disney Plus launches in Western Europe later this month.
