BritBox lands on LG, Nat Geo on NOW TV and more

TVBEurope rounds up the new channel arrivals on streaming platforms and devices

BritBox has announced its availability on LG Smart TVs manufactured from 2014.

The service is also available on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Google Chromecast, as well as Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba, JVC, Hitachi and Bush TVs.

BritBox is additionally accessible on PC and Mac via britbox.co.uk, plus Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.

The company will add support for other Freeview Play Smart TVs and YouView devices in the coming months.

Reemah Sakaan, group director ITV SVoD and chief creative and brand officer at BritBox, said: “LG is a fantastic connected TV partner, and we are excited that even more people will be able to enjoy the biggest box of British box-sets here on BritBox!”

Nat Geo comes to NOW TV

National Geographic has launched on NOW TV, bringing 650 hours of documentary content to the platform.

The new channel replaces Nat Geo Wild, and offers adventure, science and history programming including Cosmos: Possible Worlds, Running Wild with Bear Grylls and Hard Time: Locked Up.

Starz aligns with Roku

Starz has arrived on Roku streaming players and Roku TV models in the UK and Mexico. 

STARZPLAY’s lineup includes Power Book II: Ghost starring Mary J. Blige and Mr Mercedes from Stephen King.
