In a landmark move, RR Media, a provider of global digital media services to the broadcast industry, has been chosen as a delivery partner for Premier League football club Arsenal’s International Programming Block.
The distribution of the weekly Arsenal Media programming block from the London based football club, will consist of two magazine shows plus the matches Arsenal plays during that week.
The three-year deal will see RR Media using its smart global distribution network to take the content from BT in London, through its global media centre and optimising delivery using fibre and satellite to Europe and Asia to an audience reach of millions of households. There is an option for further distribution using the RR Media network into the future into new regions.
The announcement comes as RR Media continues to expand its global sports distribution portfolio, which includes working with NFL Super Bowl, Fox Sports International and the PGA Championships.
