Arkena, the multiscreen delivery solutions provider, has announced that it will supply turnkey OTT and catch-up services for beIN SPORTS CONNECT, a new OTT service launched by beIN SPORTS France, to deliver its live channels directly via the internet to connected desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
Sylvain Merle, chief technical officer at beIN SPORTS, explained the strategy behind choosing Arkena by saying that providing its channels through OTT is “strategic for beIN SPORTS. Not only will we be able to reach a new audience, but we will also have a better understanding of the way our audience consumes our programmes. Choosing Arkena as our technical partner was an obvious decision for beIN SPORTS, as Arkena fully understands our needs and is able to meet all our requirements within a tight schedule.”
