Apple has penned a deal with Canal+ to bring 4K/UHD content to its OTT platform.
The agreement will give Apple TV users access to live Ligue 1 matches, along with original content from the French channel and a selection of films, series and documentaries.
Various content, including The Bureau des Légendes and Kaboul Kitchen are already available, while Canal+ has said it will deliver Versailles, The Young Pope, Polar Day and Shadow Warriors to the Apple TV platform by the end of 2017.
The offering is available free for Canal+ subscribers with a compatible TV set.
