Apple has reportedly held talks with James Bond producer MGM as it looks to increase the content available to its Apple TV Plus subscribers.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Apple also met with college sports company Pac-12 over gaining the rights to its live sports broadcasts, a first for the fledgling streamer.
Apple isn’t thought to be going after the distribution rights to the Bond franchise, which are currently owned by Universal, but instead wants to licence the franchise’s back catalogue.
The WSJ said talks with both content owners are in the preliminary stages and have not yet advanced further.
Both MGM and Apple have declined to comment on the report.
