Amazon Prime Video looks to have snapped up more football rights, this time in Germany.
According to a report in German magazine DWDL.de, Amazon has won the rights to the A1 package of UEFA Champions League matches, which includes the top games on a Tuesday evening, from the 2021-22 season.
Alex Green, CEO of Prime Video Sport Europe, told DWDL.de: “We look forward to the UEFA Champions League, one of the most prestigious club competitions in the world.”
Prime Video kicked off its football offering in the UK last week, with most viewers praising the service for its innovation.
