Italy’s Sportcast has installed a Volicon Observer digital video logging and monitoring system to provide compliance monitoring for its new HD Super Tennis channel.
Supplied by systems integrator Allyn and installed at SBP playout facilities in Rome, the Observer provides continuous monitoring and logging of content on the Super Tennis channel, which can be quickly accessed, reviewed, and exported for proof of compliance.
“When we specified equipment that would meet the requirements of SBP and its client, Sportcast, for Super Tennis playout facilities, the Volicon Observer was the clear fit for compliance monitoring,” explained Allyn Marketing Manager, Maurizio Maroli. “The Observer system offers fast access to content archives and supplies clear, unambiguous evidence of compliance that can be easily provided for internal or regulatory review.”
Observer captures, stores, and streams aired content and gives monitoring staff instant access to live and recorded content from an easy-to-use web-based GUI. Users at the desktop can monitor the content going out to air or dial back as many as 90 days to find and provide proof that content aired properly. It offers play, pause, and search for recording on either a desktop or mobile device.
