Lawo unveils Stream Monitor and more at IBC

Releases Xtra Fader Version of the mc²96 Grand Production Console

Lawo has unveiled a new slate of products at IBC, due for release in Q4 2019.

The products include:

  • The AES67 Stream Monitor, displaying detailed information for as many as 16 user-definable audio streams, each of which can contain multiple audio channels
  • Xtra Fader Version of the mc²96 Grand Production Console, providing an increased fader count in the Central Control Section; 16 instead of eight faders in the “Sweet Spot”

  • Power Core MAX, the AES67 mixing engine that supports up to four independent Lawo mixing surfaces

  • V__matrix software suite 1.10, now supplemented with support for ST2022-7 stream redundancy

  • New A__line models for Lawo’s line of WAN-capable audio-over-IP nodes, focused on converting AES3 and MADI into the SMPTE 2110-30/31 Audio-over-IP standard for real time transport over LAN and WAN networks

Commenting on the A__line release, Lawo senior product manager networked audio Stephan Tuerkay said: “Whenever faced with a broadcast system that needs to gradually shift from baseband to IP, we witness that digital audio conversion is crucial to bridge between the worlds in a hybrid environment. With these new product additions, with the latest extension of our proven A__line series we are providing a rich-featured digital audio conversion at an attractive price point.”
