Fox International Channels in Turkey has installed a new asset management system, based on Cinegy technology, to enable it to digitise its workflow and streamline operations. The service provides a number of channels under the Fox brands to pay-TV operators in the country. The Cinegy Archive system was specified and installed by local master reseller Orsatek. It provides for a simplified workflow based on the Cinegy Workspace browser-based client, allowing content to be searched, browsed, selected and edited from anywhere. It supports open standards and formats including AAF, MXF, MPEG-2 and H.264. At FIC it covers the entire workflow from ingest to playout. “FIC is not the carriage provide but a content aggregator, providing services – like FX, Foxlife, Fox Crime and National Geographic – to all platforms in Turkey,” said Sevi Akdemir, operations manager for FIC in the country. “We were looking for a system that would allow us to meet different format demands from different platforms for linear and non-linear content. “Cinegy is supporting a wide range of file formats and is responsive to change,” she added. “Being able to edit our content in Cinegy without any external editing system is a big value. Great support from the local team to find local solutions.”
