Vizrt automates recorded content

Viz Mosart 5 includes a story recorder function that lets producers pause, revisit an element or rectify a mistake while recording a live-to-tape show

Vizrt is releasing a new version of its Mosart software that enables users to automate recorded content, as well as live, which the company says effectively removes the need for additional editing in post production.

Viz Mosart 5 includes a story recorder function that lets producers pause, revisit an element or rectify a mistake while recording a live-to-tape show.

During a retake, the automation resets all studio elements to the correct state – including everything from graphics to robotic camera positions. When the retake has been completed, the system automatically stitches together the programme making it ready for air.

According to the company, this functionality means that allows for seamless production of scripted and ad-lib content for live and pre-recorded shows.

“Prior to today’s release, our customers utilised Viz Mosart to add automation benefits to recorded shows, but the output still required additional post production before being broadcast. With Viz Mosart 5 and Story Recorder, the need for editing is removed – a recorded show with multiple retakes can now be made ready to air in minutes,” said Niels Borg, senior product manager for Viz Mosart at Vizrt.
