Video marketplace Stringr expands to the UK

Platform allows media organisations to access video from freelancers

Stringr, a video marketplace that allows media companies to source video from freelancers, has launched in the UK.

According to the company, the launch enables UK broadcasters, publishers and brands to source, edit and publish custom footage from 80,000+ videographers across the globe.

The network allows professional and amateur videographers to contribute to Stringr’s content library. Media organisation can then access the content. Additionally, Stringr recently announced the availability of its livestreaming function, giving customers the ability to request live video content from anywhere.

Stringr helps the largest media organisations in the US source custom video,” said Lindsay Stewart, CEO and co-founder of Stringr. “Offering the same service of getting video fast and at a scalable price point to companies in the UK is a natural extension of what we already do, and a part of our larger plan to roll out to the rest of Europe over the next year.”
