CameraOne has announced the opening of a new European HQ in Weiden, Germany.
The sub-rental business is launching in Europe with an inventory of more than $3 million of cameras, lenses and accessories.
The company has appointed Alexander Schwarz and James S Bouchie to lead the new European operations.
Schwarz began his career in the film industry by developing one of the leading Video Assist Systems. He then became the senior director of key accounts at a major camera rental house. In 2013, he was invited to join the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) and continues to be an active Associate Member.
Bouchie has more than 10 years of sales and marketing experience in the film industry and 20 years of experience working in academia. He has worked alongside Sxhwarz since 2014.
Jacob Alatise, formerly at Video Europe, has joined the team to lead global sales.
