TV4 consolidates with Pilat Media

Swedish television network TV4, having recently expanded its local and national operations into Norway and Denmark, has now extended its use of the Integrated Broadcast Management System (IBMS) from Pilat Media.

Swedish television network TV4, having recently expanded its local and national operations into Norway and Denmark, has now extended its use of the Integrated Broadcast Management System (IBMS) from Pilat Media. A long-time user of IBMS sales for advertising campaigns, TV4 is now extending its use of the management platform. It now provides a central point of reference for all booking, inventory, traffic and reconciliation information. With this new expansion more than 30 regional channels now come under the auspices of IBMS, which previously was only used for national sales. By providing a common system for all advertising, the intention is that TV4 will be able to optimise revenues by reallocating between national and local campaigns. The common system will also result in a lower cost of ownership, with fewer systems requiring maintenance. Beyond this current expansion, the system opens the door to new revenue opportunities, such as a significant expansion of non-linear services. “Since 2007 IBMS Sales has been an essential component in our ability to manage our traffic and sales operations efficiently and profitably,” said Daniel Lindén, head of technical operations at TV4. “The seamless integration of IBMS with our content managmenet, financial and other systems guarantees a comprehensive end-to-end sales process.”
