Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) used Ensemble terminal equipment to support its coverage of the London 2012 Olympics. The broadcaster used a total of nine Avenue frames and scores of Avenue modules in its on-site HD broadcast facility in London. The Avenue equipment was used to integrate local sources as well as incoming and outgoing feeds with the facility’s core router. In addition to a large number of distribution amplifiers and conversion modules, the system included four 7555 Video Processing Frame Synchronizer modules, each of which was equipped with the 9615 audio software option. The 7555 modules were used to synchronise and process incoming video feeds as well as to process, shuffle, and mix the embedded audio on those feeds. “We didn’t get a single phone call or email requesting support during the games,” said Mondae Hott, director of sales at Ensemble Designs. “All of the Ensemble equipment worked flawlessly and TRT was able to use the gear easily and effortlessly.” www.ensembledesigns.com
