Timeline nets three-year tennis contract

Timeline's IP 4K HDR outside broadcast truck is being used as part of the deal

Timeline Television has signed a deal with BBC Sport to provide technical outside broadcast facilities for three tennis events over the next three years.

The deal began last week with Timeline working on the BBC’s coverage of the Fever Tree Championships at Queen’s Club in London; it continues with the Nature Valley International in Eastbourne and also includes the BBC’s coverage of the Nitto ATP Finals at the O2 in November.

Timeline’s OB trucks are onsite for the duration of the tournaments providing OB facilities and support to the BBC’s production teams for a variety of live and highlights coverage.

Their IP 4K HDR outside broadcast truck is being used for two of the three tournaments, while Timeline’s recently upgraded live 4K UHD/HD outside broadcast truck that can cater for 12 cabled cameras along with multiple radio cameras is in Eastbourne.

Timeline said its UHD HDR ready outside broadcast trucks “provide a high-quality and robust solution for BBC Sport’s current HD requirements but are also future focused to easily deliver UHD HDR coverage should it be required at a later date.”
