Teletest launches digital wireless system

Rugged and lightweight, the Telesend compact transmitters and receivers have been designed for directors wanting to view the cameraman's output, cable-free.

Teletest has introduced its affordable HD digital wireless system, the Telesend. Rugged and lightweight, these compact transmitters and receivers have been designed for directors wanting to view the cameraman’s output, cable-free. With the optional waterproof receiver housing, Telesends can also be used on outside broadcasts and live events. Operating on the 5GHz licence free frequencies, Telesends transmit uncompressed broadcast quality HD-SDI and HDMI signals over distances of 20/30m (moving) to 70m (static) with a delay of less than 1ms. With Teletest‘s automatic channel scanning feature, three Telesends can be used in the same location at any one time with no fuss nor setting up. Teletest’s MD Nick Rose said, “An advantage of the Telesends is the ability to connect both HD-SDI and HDMI equipment. This means, for example, the receiver can be connected straight into the HDMI input of a large screen LCD monitor.” “Another advantage is that cameramen can choose V-lock, PAG or Anton Bauer battery adapters to suit their existing equipment.” Telesends are now available direct from Teletest or from London reseller BPS.
The Telesend will be also demonstrated at BVE on reseller Prokit‘s stand C39.www.teletest.tvwww.bps-tv.co.ukwww.prokit.co.uk
