Moscow-based Technostyle Technologies has added a large HD truck to its fleet for major sports and entertainment events on behalf of key clients such as Channel One Russia, writes David Fox. As HD production takes hold in the region, with many of its customers having recently upgraded to HD, Technostyle had to meet current client needs and to prepare itself for the future of OB production in the region. With an emphasis on operational flexibility and image quality, Technostyle selected Grass Valley for the key technologies within the unit, including cameras and production switchers. The unit will carry 12 Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite HD cameras, fitted with the new Grass Valley 3G Transmission system, which will provide maximum effectiveness and range from existing triax cables plus the ability to use fibre when necessary. The cameras feed a Karrera 2M/E video production centre, for creative control in a compact package. “We believe that when this mobile unit hits the road later this year it will be able to handle any type of live production, which will allow our business to grow and keep our clients very happy,” said Volodin Borislav, CTO of Technostyle Technologies.
