The company will be producing the coverage from the sailing competition at Weymouth and Portland. It is the only contract that has been awarded externally to produce London 2012 Olympic sport output. Working closely with the BBC, Sunset+Vine will be responsible for the production of all ten Olympic Games sailing events (six for men and four for women) being hosted in the waters around Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour. The sailing events run between Sunday 29 July and Saturday 11 August and will feature some 380 athletes (237 men, 143 women). Richard Simmonds, joint managing director – Sailing of Sunset+Vine commented:“We are delighted to have secured the London 2012 Olympic Games Sailing TV production contract.
