UK Software company Square Box Systems has been awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation Category for CatDV, its media asset management and workflow tool for use in video post production. The software was designed and written by the founder and CEO, Rolf Howarth. “It is a great honour to win this Queen’s Award, and I am proud to share it with the whole team, all of who have contributed to our growing commercial success. We have just returned from NAB 2012 in Las Vegas where our booth was constantly busy in the face of huge interest from North America, so I see this award as a step further towards our global growth into new markets in the immediate period ahead.
