wTVision’s SportStats CG software was selected to facilitate real-time graphics applications for a total of ten different sports during the GCC Games, which took place in Bahrain recently.
Ten operators guaranteed their real-time graphics service to Live Abu Dhabi Media using the SportStats CG software. wTVision’s designers created all graphic templates, which were based on the competition’s logo.
Each article of text was in Arabic, with translations undertaken on-site by client-provided personnel. A variety of technologies were integrated with the software, including scoreboards, timing systems, interactive graphics, video servers and various graphics platforms.
The speed and flexibility of the SportStats CG software were among the factors that made this is an extremely successful project for Live Abu Dhabi Media, with the Bahrain Olympic Committee reported to be very pleased with the end-result.
Glenn De Maeseneer, sales & project manager at wTVision in the Middle East, commented: “wTVision produced on-air graphics for all GCC events, of which eight were broadcast live. Bowling and cycling graphics were produced for summaries only, but [were] still live-to-air. We had a team of 13 people working during this event, including one project manager, one production manager, one graphics designer, one developer and nine graphic operators.”
