Sky Sports has introduced a Sky Sports News App for the iPad, featuring live and on-demand video, interactive graphics and up-to-the-minute data, writes Adrian Pennington.
Designed specifically for the iPad and staffed by a dedicated editorial team, the app provides Sky customers with in-depth sports news coverage and they can watch Sky Sports News live through the app as well as tune in to Sky SportsNews radio.
There are dedicated home pages for all major sports, including football, rugby and cricket, which collect together all the major stories of the day, alongside the latest fixtures, results and standings.
Other features include instant coverage of the latest breaking news, and a Latest News panel that appears along the right hand side of screen.

The app is available for free for Sky subscribers from the App Store on iPad or at Apple’s iTunes App Store. It is also available to non-Sky customers at £4.99 per month through an in-app purchase.
