The integration of deltatre’s DIVA HD video player and Opta Sports’ events data facilitated the creation of an enriched online viewing experience during the 2011 Heineken Cup.
The special content was delivered by Sky Sports Events Centre to Sky Sports and Sky Go subscribers. Heineken Cup Rugby was the second sport to be made available on the Events Centre using deltatre’s DIVA (Data Integrated Video Application), after launching in April this year with UEFA Champions League matches.
Deployed in conjunction with Opta’s time coded events data, deltatre’s DIVA integrates match data with HD video to allow for a richer, user-guided consumption of live online sport. Users can navigate their way through significant moments of a game accompanied by in-depth match statistics and analysis.
